UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT

As standard our team will attend your event dressed in black (this can be altered on request). They will bring with them a black apron and a bottle opener.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

When joining us, each staff member goes through a rigorous interview and training programme to ensure that a consistent standard is delivered. This training includes education on each of the roles within an event team, silver service, health and safety guidelines, bar service and a practical training on table laying/setting, waiting service and effective teamwork.

By running ongoing development sessions, regularly attending events together and hosting social events for the staff we work to ensure that the team know each other and how they work best together before arriving at your event!

HOURS, AVAILABILITY AND PRICING

1. •   Waiting staff are available to work twenty-four hours a day, seven days of the week
   

2. •   There is a four hour minimum booking period per staff member, per event
   

3. •   Staff will arrive fifteen minutes before they are due to begin work for briefing - this time is not charged for
   

4. •   Travel is free inside zone 4
   

5. •   A taxi home must be provided for staff members finishing after 11:30pm
   

6. •   Staff require a twenty-minute break for every six hours they work. This is factored into all quotes and bookings

Hire The Caterer works closely with its sister business Hire The Barman to provide waiting staff to corporate and private events in the London area.

THE TEAM

The team is made up of industry professionals (the majority of whom specialise in event waiting work). We only use trained industry professionals - because of this, all our staff are capable of working effectively at your event either alone or as part of a team.

Our staffing structure is made up of core team members, supervisors and managers. We will advise you as to what best suits your needs and from there help you to build the most effective yet cost efficient team. Our waiting staff are hand-picked by us to be right for your event. Relevant experience, the right image and a fitting personality all come as standard!
